Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera
Aku rasa tidak ada salahnya untuk aku post tentang movie Real Steel sebab benda ni pon kira berkaitan jugalah dengan dunia robotik. Mungkin ada di antara kita yang menganggap bahawa robot dalam cerita Real Steel ini adalah fiksyen semata-mata, tapi bagi aku benda ini tidak mustahil untuk terjadi.
Sekarang pun kita dalam lihat pelbagai perkembangan, pelbagai penyelidikan yang di lakukan dalam bidang robotik sama ada kita sedar atau tidak juga kita tidak perasan.
korang juga dapat lihat yang permainan Robot lawan robot ni telah pon di mainkan di banyak negara tapi dengan menggunakan scale atau skala yang lebih kecil. Juga masih di kawal oleh manusia.
Amacam? terpegun melihat Real Steel? Aku pun tidak ketinggalan terpegun (cewah) melihat bagaimana mereka gabungkan elemen teknologi canggih dengan persekitaran yang lama.

aaa...yang ni real steel yang ada time sekarang ni...skala kecik je bebnota kaki robot: siapa yang minat robot2 ni macam aku, korang boleh la pergi tengok. ikot korang la, nak tengok wayang ke, download ke, janji korang tengok...

I am not really interested in this movie because it is still unrealistic. Why would I use "still" because the development in robotic is in its infancy and one day will grow. As we know Hollywood likes to create movie that is way beyond humans' league. If so happened that human can achieve like in Real Steel, Hollywood will create something far more ridiculous.
Like I have said just now, it is unrealistic based on the cognitive capability of current robots, and the robot's capability to learn. Even machine learning is written by human. And this knowledge is still at its infancy.

yeah i know that. but if you can see how the development of handphone back 5-6 years ago, you didnt expect that it can be awesome for example like SIRI from iphone compare to the maybe old 3310 or the big handphone.
also maybe we didnt see much what they actualy had been and been develop expecially in military.
back to 10-15 year ago, how they can use the atom bom..just my opinion.

opsss...1 more think...it is still a movie and the important part of the movie is how they want to attract people to watch it like the Avatar...huhu... =)
Benda2 dalam Real Steel yang mungkin ada tidak lama lagi;
1. Glass Phone & Glass Laptop.
2. In-crowd voice recognition.
3. Self-organized AI Real Steel, boleh belajar dari pengalaman.(search 'SOINN')
4. Bigger scale of Humanoid Robot Battle.

Yeah. But what I think is still far from reach is machine learning. Like the SOINN project, the application is only face recognition, handwriting recognition etc (From the thesis, I did not go thorough).
What the robot cannot do not is to learn like a human. They don't know what is good or bad, right or wrong. And the most important thing, they don't have a state of mind. Robots works because human programmed them to work.
Yes, current robot can learn. But only after a human tell them what should they learn, how they learn and what is right or wrong (just as a cost function).
It is inevitable that there are progress in the past. I really salute those inventors/innovators. SIRI is a good innovation. Why would I put as innovation because there are a lot of speech recognizing and natural language processes researches in going on. Apple is the one who commercialize them.
Well, again, to conclude, Real Steel is still far far away, perhaps 2050 something. (This is the year we hope Robots can actually beat human in soccer, ROBOCUP).
Human program the robot and make it AI. yes but there had a limitation unless, they have "niat jahat"...
back to basic law of robot
1)A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2)A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3)A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.
dont break the rule even you program it with the most AI system. =)
